Requirements/Agreed Deliverables

  • Web access to GeoMag data in xml format.
    • Exchange of data between computers rather than humans.
    • Users to query GeoMag stations, almost real time.
    • Demo web app: simple for now, standardised xml schema to be added later.
    • Security to be considered but http request allowed initially, possibly only allowing specific users/IP addresses.

  • Plotting Capability
    • Static plots initially, possibly with navigation arrows.
    • Interactive SVG to be considered

  • Establish basis on which to charge customers.
  • Website or report to record findings.
  • One hour session at start and end to inform scientists/managers/those concerned about intentions/achievements.

Organise hardware (unix server etc.) in Murchison House with help form SNS (MH).
