Next steps:

POL

  • Automate tidal boundary condition generation
  • Distribute test domains to other partners, Patagonian shelf and West African Upwelling
  • Distribute domain generator matlab scripts
  • Install SGE on POL cluster (?)

DL

  • Investigate inter-domain communication
  • ERSEM performance analysis, including vector version - is it better already?
  • Look at ways to improve POLCOMS performance – e.g. larger halos

PML

  • Provide ERSEM code with appropriate number of state variables
  • Sensitivity of ERSEM to time-step

ESSC

  • Provide 1 deg. NEMO data and model setup
  • Investigate availability of 0.5 deg. ECMWF data, data formats and procedures for sub-setting.
  • Investigate simple eScience tools for job submission/monitoring
