Idealised Initial Conditions

I have been carrying out some ensemble experiments with idealised perturbations in the initial conditions. The idea behind keeping it simple is to make it easier to understand the evolution of the run. These pertubations highlight straightforward mechanisms which are relevant in decadal climate variability. They are also a starting point for more complex initial conditions.
