Getting Started

The TWiki help page is the best place to start for those new to wikis. The easiest way to edit a wiki page is to click on the "Edit" button on the top right of the page, or the "Edit" link at the bottom the page. This provides a simple word processing environment with basic formatting facilities. The full range of formatting facilities are only available through the use of special wiki formatting codes, which can be added to a page by clicking on the "Raw edit" link at the bottom instead of "Edit".

Wiki sites

There are a number of wiki sites (known as wiki webs) hosted on the Reading e-Science Centre wiki site at ESSC. These are listed in the side bar on the left of the main page when you first go to the wiki. Some of the webs are only accessible by registered users. These can only be seen after logging in.
